While Rohit Shetty has been riding high on the success of Simmba, there have been rumours of his rift with Shah Rukh Khan doing the rounds. The director has now responded to the rumours.
Shah Rukh and Rohit together had given a blockbuster in the form of Chennai Express. The movie was a big hit, and hence the actor-director had later again collaborated for Dilwale.
The second film despite having a big ensemble cast, failed to make the expected impact at the box office, and after that, Rohit and SRK never joined hands for any movie till date. This gave rise to rumours that things are not fine between Shah Rukh and the film-maker after the Dilwale debacle.
However, Rohit rubbished the rumours, and backed it with a genuine point. He said that Shah Rukh's production house Red Chillies Entertainment was the company that created various effects in Simmba. Rohit stated that if he had a tiff with Shah Rukh, he would not have worked with his company for the film, according to reports.
Meanwhile, Simmba has turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2018. The movie already crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office, and is still running strong despite new releases.
Starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood among others, the action drama is inspired from south film Temper. After the success of Singham series and Simmba, Rohit is now set to take his cop franchise ahead with Sooryavanshi that will feature Akshay Kumar in lead role.
