The countdown has begun for the biggest releases in Bollywood during the Diwali season. Four promising films - "Ra.One," "Tell Me Khuda," "Dhamadamm" and "Be Careful" - are going to hit the screens in the days to come.
Director Chandrakant Singh's drama film "Be Careful" will open the Diwali releases on Friday. The film features debutants Rajneesh Duggall and Zaid Shaikh opposite to Tanisha Mukherjee.
The most hyped film, "Ra.One," will be released on Diwali day which falls on Oct. 26. "Ra.One" will mark the biggest Bollywood release this season with its Rs. 175-crore budget. The movie is a dream project of Shah Rukh Khan and it comes from the actor's own production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.
The actor has tied up with more than 25 major brands in India and abroad. Trade analyst say "Ra.One" has already recovered its budget through ties-up.
Swapna Waghmare's comedy romance film "Damadamm" features singer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya in the lead role opposite to Sonal Sehgal who is better known for her works in the small screen. The film will be released on Oct. 27, just one day after "Ra. One."
"Tell Me O Kkhuda" is another promising film which comes from Hema Malini Creation. It is believed to be a comeback film for Esha Deol after a hiatus of almost three years. The film will be released on Oct. 27.
The real fight is among Shah Rukh, Himesh and Esha Deol. So, moviegoers, be ready to see a big fight this Diwali.
The other major film industries are also ready with Diwali releases.
Kollywood: NineTamil movies will be released this Diwali season.
Five films will be released on Diwali day - "Uchithanai Muharnthaal," "Ra One" (Tamil version), "7aam Arivu," "Konjam Sirippu Konjam Kobam," and "Velayutham."
"Porulu," "Killadi," and "Nellai Pattanam" will be released on Oct. 28. They will be followed by two more films - "Marudhavelu" and "Oththigai" - on Oct.29 and 30 respectively.
Tollywood: Tollywood will mark the biggest Diwali release in south with 16 films. It will start with director Srinivas's film "Aayanaki Aidhuguru" on Oct. 20.
"Prema Pilustondi," "Sare Nee Istam," "Journey" and "Paapi" will be released on Oct. 21 and "Ayyare" on Oct.23. "Mr. Nokia" and "Jesus" will be released on Oct.25.
"7th Sense," "Kshetram," "Simha Putrudu," and "Indian Police" will be released on the day of Diwali.
"Nuvvilaa" will be released on Oct.28 while "Company" and "Gali Seenu" are slated for Oct. 30 release.
Sandalwood: Five Kannada movies are set to be released for Diwali. Abhay Simha's "Shikari" and Mohan Shankar's "Narasimha" will be released on Oct.21. Shashank Raj's "Jarasandha" and Baraguru Ramchandrappa's "Sharabi" will be released on Oct. 27 while Ramesh Raja's "Tavarina Runa" is slated for Oct. 28 release.
