Thanksgiving 2016 is just around the corner and people across the US and Canada are all set to celebrate the day with turkey stuffing pumpkin parties. Since it marks the beginning of the holiday season, TV world has come up with their own list of shows for those who would like to curl on the couch with a list of dramas or special programs.
From old classics to holiday-themed special episodes of popular shows, here is a list of programs that could give its viewers an opportunity to enjoy and laugh with their favourite characters on small screen.
This Is Us
The new comedy-drama will air a special episode this Tuesday, November 22, at 9 pm EST on NBC. Episode 8 is titled Pilgrim Rick and it will focus on the holiday trip of Jack and his family to Rebecca's parents' house. On their way, an unseen detour occurs and it forces their daughter Kate to make two drastic life-changing decisions.

The Middle
The sitcom about a middle-class family and their struggles will also have a holiday-themed episode this Tuesday, November 22, at 8 pm EST. The show, which is currently airing its eighth episode, will feature the various challenges faced by Frankie in episode 6.
Here is the official synopsis for the new episode: Frankie has come to the conclusion that April is not good enough for Axl and does everything in her power to keep her out of their annual Christmas family photo. But she finds herself vying for Axl's attention by trying to rearrange timing for the family's Thanksgiving dinner when she discovers that he plans to go to April's multiple family get-togethers that day. Meanwhile, Sue goes ballistic when she discovers that Brick will now be her new co-worker at Spudsy's.

American Housewife
The ABC sitcom will feature the twists and thrills in Katie Otto's life when the show returns with a new episode this Tuesday, November 22, at 8.30 pm EST. Episode 4 is titled The Blow-Up and it will introduce Hot in Cleveland actress Wendie Malick as Kathryn.
The short summary for the episode states that the female lead will not be thrilled to welcome her mother since she is her least favourite person. In order to ease the tension, her nemesis Viv will decide to attend the dinner party with two of them.

Anne Of Green Gables
