Ajith has a good fan following in Kerala and his fans in God's Own Country have now expressed their love for their favourite actor in a special way. The actor's forthcoming Tamil movie, which is presently referred to as "Thala 57," has become a theme for "pookolam," a traditional floral carpet, this Onam.
Reports say that the fans of Ajith apparently laid out special "pookolams," a traditional floral carpet, to express their love for the actor. This only goes on to show that they are eagerly waiting for the release of the actor's next Kollywood flick "Thala 57."
The photos of their "pookolams" are doing the round on social media sites although the name of the place where it was designed has not been revealed yet. Cutting across regional barriers, Kerala celebrates Onam in the month of Chingam as per the Malayalam calendar.
It is a 10-day festival, which concludes with the 10th day, called "thiruvonam". This year it falls on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Coming back to Ajith, the actor has recently returned to Chennai after a month-long shooting schedule of "Thala 57" in Europe. The filming of the upcoming movie was kick-started in the first week of August.
The "Thala 57" unit has shot some key sequences in the first schedule and a major action scene has also been filmed. The film's main female lead Kajal Aggarwal has also taken part in it.
The team is expected to take a short break before starting its next schedule in Chennai. Later, the "Thala 57" unit is expected to head to the U.S.
"Thala 57" is an action-oriented spy thriller. Siruthai Siva has directed the film, which has Akshara Haasan as the second female lead. The film has Anirudh's music, Vetri's cinematography and Anthony Ruben's editing.
