Ajith Kumar seems to be getting ready to try his hands at direction now. Yes, the actor will soon wear the director's hat for the first time in his career.
A Tamil magazine has reported that Ajith will be directing a short movie and this could possibly be a stepping stone for his bigger dreams. Well, the "Mankatha" star reportedly wants to direct a flick and he would be directing the short movie to understand his capabilities.
He will decide whether to direct a movie based on the response that he receives for the short film, say reports. Actor Appukutty, who had worked with Ajith in "Veeram", will be part of the short movie, which is expected to be announced soon.
It is said that the "Arrambam" star had told the budding actor about his plans during the making of "Veeram". Ajith has an emotional script, which projects the acting skills of Appukutty. The shooting for the short film will kickstart once the star actor wraps up his forthcoming film "Thala 56".
The shooting for Ajith's latest movie is going on and the film unit wants to finish it soon as the members of "Thala 56" are hoping to release the film for Diwali.
Currently, the second schedule of the shooting is in progress. "Thala 56" is an urban-centric movie, which has Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Kabir Singh, Soori and many others in the cast. The film is directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by AM Rathnam.
The film has Antony L Ruben's editing, cinematography by Vetri and action choreography by 'Stunt' Silva. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director of the flick.
