There were speculations doing the rounds that Ajith Kumar would be doing a cameo in Arya-Vishnu Vardhan's "Yatchan."
"Yatchan" is an action entertainer with Arya and Kreshna of "Yaamirukka Bayamey" doing lead roles. In the film, Arya appears as a big fan of Ajith and also worships him in one of the scenes. This led to rumours that Ajith will be a doing a cameo in the film. But, a source close to the film's development has confirmed that Ajith is not doing a guest appearance in the action entertainer.
"Ajith is not appearing in a cameo in the film, but still is an integral part of it. The story of Yatchan is such that the main character is in awe of a Tamil superstar. That superstar is Ajith in the film. He goes to the extent of even worshipping him in one of the scenes in the film," the source told The Times of India.
It may be recalled that Ajith starred in Vishnu Vardhan's last release "Arrambam", which also had Arya in a supporting role. While Ajith is currently busy with his upcoming film, "Yennai Arindhaal," Vishnu Vardhaan-Arya have teamed up once again for "Yatchan."
The film has Deepa Sannidhi, Swathi Reddy, Adil Hussain, Kishore, John Vijay and Thambi Ramaiah among others. Director-actor SJ Surya, who had cast Vishnu Vardhan in a small role in his upcoming film "Isai," will be making a cameo appearance in "Yatchan."
"When I requested Vishnu to be part of my film, he gladly obliged. He played a small role that comes at a crucial point in Isai. When he offered me a role in his film Yatchan, I felt it was my turn to return the favour," Surya told IANS. "I can't reveal much about the character, but I play myself in the film," he said.
"Yatchan" music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography is handled by Om Prakash and editing is done by Sreekar Prasad.
The film, produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vishnu Vardhan Pictures, will hit the screens in 2015.
