After being part of two successful films, Siruthai Siva is joining hands with Ajith Kumar once again for a commercial entertainer. The forthcoming movie, which is presently referred to as "Thala 57," is in the pre-production stage and set to be launched in April.
The latest buzz about "Thala 57" is that the regular shooting of the Tamil film will begin on the actor's birthday on May 1, reports Indiaglitz. But the movie will take off with a formal pooja in the second week of April.
It is believed that the makers have planned to launch "Thala 57" on the auspicious Tamil New Year, April 14. But they are yet to formally confirm the news. Currently, Ajith is on a short break after undergoing multiple surgeries a few months ago in Chennai.
The Tamil flick might possibly release for Pongal 2017. It has to be noted that the original plan was to release the movie for Diwali 2016.
Siruthai Siva and Ajith worked together for the first time in "Veeram," after which they teamed up for "Vedalam" that became an even bigger hit. Hence, the audience have pinned high hopes on their third flick.
Meanwhile, the hunt for the female lead is on. There have been lots of speculations on the actress and names such as Nayantara and Tamanna Bhatia are doing the rounds. Apparently, the makers are yet to finalise the female lead.
Anirudh Ravichander, who had scored music for "Vedalam," has reportedly been signed for "Thala 57." Other details about the project are under wraps. The film is bankrolled by Sathyajyothi Films.
