Ajith Kumar's next movie, which is currently referred to as "Thala 57," is scheduled to take off on May 1 to coincide with the actor's birthday. The makers are expected to have a formal ritual on the special day to mark the beginning of shooting.
The makers are yet to announce the female leads and technicians who will be part of the forthcoming Tamil flick. However, the names of Nayanthara, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamanna Bhatia, Kriti Kharbanda and many others have been doing the rounds. Anushka Shetty is reportedly a strong contender for the role, while Kriti Sanon has been approached to play the second female lead in the flick.
"Thala 57" is produced by Sathyajyothi Films, which has made a lot of notable films in the past three decades, like "Moonram Pirai," "Uthama Puthiran" and "Kalyana Parisu."
Siruthai Siva has written the story and directed "Thala 57," which is an urban-centric film. It is the third collaboration of the director and the actor after "Veeram" and "Vedalam." The movie will be shot in foreign countries and it is speculated that one of them will be Australia. But the regular shooting will only commence in June.
Anirudh Ravichander is said to be composing music for the film. He had successfully scored the music for Ajith and Siruthai Siva's previous film "Vedalam." Vetri will handle the cinematography of the flick.
Meanwhile, fans of Ajith are all set to celebrate the actor's 45th birthday. The plans for the special day celebration are already in place, with many unofficial fan clubs in different parts of Tamil Nadu planning to do charity work and distribute sweets.
