Anushka Shetty, who had teamed up with Ajith Kumar in Gautham Menon's "Yennai Arindhaal," might pair up with the actor again. It is reported that the actress has been approached to play the female lead in Siruthai Siva's next film, which is presently referred to as "Thala 57."
A report on Behindwoods claims that Siruthai has approached Anushka for his next project "Thala 57." However, it is not clear whether she has accepted the offer or still considering it, given her busy schedule.
She has a few big projects in her kitty. Currently, Anushka is busy with SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali: The Conclusion." She is also working in Suriya's "S3," which is the third instalment in the "Singam" franchise. The 34-year old is likely to star in horror flick "Bhagamathi," directed by Ashok.
Anushka's name is the latest addition to the list of actresses, whose names have been doing the rounds to play the female lead in Ajith's latest movie.
The shooting of "Thala 57" will commence in the first week of June. But the flick is expected to have its muhurat May 1 to coincide with Ajith's birthday.
Siruthai, who is collaborating with Ajith for the third time after "Veeram" and "Vedalam," is giving final touches to the script and finalising the other cast and crew members of "Thala 57." It is reported that Anirudh Ravichander and Vetri have been roped in to compose music and handle the cinematography department, respectively.
The upcoming movie is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
