Akshara Haasan, the daughter of Kamal Haasan, seems set to enter Tamil films. The actress has reportedly been approached to act alongside Ajith Kumar in his forthcoming movie, now known as "Thala 57."
Rumours are rife that Akshara Haasan has been offered a guest role in "Thala 57." However, some unconfirmed reports claim that she might be doing the second female lead. Neither the makers nor the actress have confirmed the news.
Akshara Haasan made her acting debut in Bollywood film "Shamitabh", and had paired up with Tamil actor, Dhanush. Presently, she is working as an assistant director to her father in his multilingual project, "Sabaash Naidu." So it does not come as a surprise that she aspires to don the director's cap someday.
Kajal Aggarwal will reportedly be playing the female lead in Ajith's film. She had signed up the project recently after Anushka Shetty, who was the first choice, could not take up the film due to some reasons.
It may be recalled that the names of Ritwika Singh and Kriti Sanon were earlier doing the rounds for the second female lead. Thambi Ramaiah and Karunakaran with a host of other actors will be seen doing supporting roles in the upcoming flick.
"Thala 57" was launched earlier this month and the regular shooting will commence in the first week of August in Bulgaria. The movie, which is said to be a spy thriller, has Anirudh Ravichander's music, Vetri's cinematography and Anthony L Ruben's editing.
"Thala 57" has been written and directed by Siruthai Siva, who is teaming up with Ajith for the third time, after "Veeram" and "Vedalam." Sathya Jyothi Films is bankrolling the movie, which is expected to be released in April 2017.
