There were reports that big names from Kollywood were approached by the makers of Ajith's next film, which is presently referred to as Thala 57 or AK 57, to play the role of a villain. In fact, it was said that Prasanna and Arvind Swami were front runners to bag the film. But the latest buzz says that the makers are yet to find a suitable face for the role of the baddie.
It is now said that the makers are yet to finalise the villain. The makers have set their eyes on a few top names in Tollywood and Bollywood. The talks are still happening and a formal announcement is expected to be made once the antagonist is finalised, say reports.
The role was offered to many leading stars in Tamil, including Arvind Swami and Prasanna, but none of them were in a position to accept the film for one or the other reason. As a result, the makers are still in a hunt.
However, Kabir Duhan Singh, who had played the villain's role in Ajith's previous film Vedalam, had openly expressed his wish to act with Thala again. But the makers seem to be keen to cast a fresh combination and have not offered the Tamil film to him.
The forthcoming film is an international-spy thriller, written and directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sathyajyothi Films. The first schedule of the film was completed earlier this month and the next schedule will commence in Hyderabad.
