Ajith is planning to team up with producer SS Chakravarthy for his next film, which is monikered as "Thala 57", to bail him out of financial crisis.
SS Chakravarthy has made about 15 films under his banner NIC films. He has produced nine films of Ajith Kumar. He has churned out hits like "Vaali", "Citizen", "Villain", "Varalaaru", etc. Later, It was said that due to some differences the duo had decided to end their association.
After some of his last films failed to work at the box office, SS Chakravarthy faced a financial crisis. As a result, he could not even complete his upcoming film, "Vaalu", with Silambarasan, and this movie has been taken over by Simbu's father himself.
Realising that his friend is in trouble, Ajith agreed to work with SS Chakravarthy and has also committed his dates to him. Now, it is said that director Vishnuvardhan has a story ready for the actor and the trio already had a few rounds of talks.
Ajith and Vishnuvardhan had earlier worked in movies "Billa" and "Arrambam". Both the films had done well at the box office. If this project happens, it will be their third collaboration.
Meanwhile, Ajith is busy with his forthcoming movie, which is being called "Thala 56". The film, which has Shruti Haasan in the female lead role, is being directed by Siruthai Siva. Lakshmi Menon, Soori, Kabir Singh, and others are in the movie, which is being produced by AM Rathnam.
