Ajith and Siruthai Siva are collaborating again. The duo is reportedly set to come together for the third time in their next movie, which is currently called "Thala 57".
As per the buzz, Ajith has agreed to Siruthai Siva's wish to direct him again. They have worked together in "Veeram" and the latest release "Vedalam". While their first venture was a hit, the latest is showing all the signs of becoming a blockbuster.
It is said the duo shares a good rapport and this is the biggest reason Ajith has agreed to work with Siruthai Siva. But they are yet to finalise a script even though they have discussed a lot of stories. The film is likely to take off in January 2016.
Meanwhile, Ajith is getting ready for knee surgery in Chennai on 24 November. He had hurt his left leg during an action sequence in his earlier movie "Arrambam". Doctors who had treated him then had advised him to undergo a surgery, but he had kept delaying it due to his professional commitments.
Unfortunately, the pain returned when he hurt the same leg by the end of the final shooting schedule of "Vedalam". This forced him to seek surgery as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Ajith's latest movie "Vedalam" has got a flying start at the box office. After making Rs 15.5 crore on the release day, the Tamil movie has added close to Rs 10 crore on the second day to cross the Rs 25-crore mark. The biggest advantage the film has is entertainment tax exemption.
"Vedalam", an action-packed family entertainer that has garnered mixed reviews, features Shruthi Haasan in the female lead.
