Speculations about Ajith's forthcoming movie, which is presently being referred to as "Thala 57," are rising with every passing day. The latest buzz is that the actor will be seen in a double role in the film, which has been written and directed by Siruthai Siva.
Malayalam media was the first to report about Ajith essaying a double role in the film, way back in January 2015. Now, the report seems to be turning out to be true. It is being said that Ajith will play the hero and the villain in "Thala 57." Recent reports had stated that Prasanna and Aravind Swamy were in the race to the bag the baddie's role.
Enacting multiples roles in a film is not a new task for the actor as he has earlier done it in films like "Vaali," "Villain," "Varalaaru" and "Aasal." So his fans believe that doing two roles will be a cakewalk for the "Mankatha" star.
Information from reliable sources says that Ajith will be seen in the role of an investigating officer. "Thala 57" is a spy thriller majorly set in foreign countries.
Meanwhile, Kabir Singh Duhan, who had played the role of a villain in Ajith Kumar's previous film "Vedalam," has also expressed his interest to work with Thala again. He had shared recently on Twitter that he was expecting a call from the makers.
Besides speculations over Ajith's role in "Thala 57," there is also a lot of buzz surrounding the film's heroine. While it was being reported until recently that Anushka Shetty had bagged the film, latest report says that Kajal Aggarwal has signed the flick to play the female lead.
However, the makers are yet to finalse the second female lead even though the names of Ritwika Singh and Kriti Sanon have been doing the rounds.
