Ajith's forthcoming movie, which is currently known as "Thala 56", is getting bigger and better. The makers have now roped in a Telugu actor, who will be playing the role of a baddie in the film.
Kabir Duhan Singh, who shot to fame with the film "Jil", is playing the role of a baddie. He will start shooting in June, and he will wrap up his part in a single schedule.
"Kabir has been signed on to play the antagonist. He will join the sets in June and shoot non-stop to complete his portions," a source from the film's unit said, IANS reports.
Kabir Duhan Singh has been choosy about his projects ever since he made his debut in "Jil", starring Gopichand and Rashi Khanna. He wanted to act in a big banner movie, and hence he turned down many offers.
Meanwhile, the team is ready to kick-start the shooting soon. "Thala 56" was supposed to start in February, but got delayed as Ajith wanted to spend some time with his family. It was learnt that the shooting was pushed to April 2015 and the filming could begin on 20 April.
While the movie had its muhurat on 9 April, the shooting did not kick-start on the rumoured date. The makers are yet to announce when it will begin.
"Thala 56" is directed by Siruthai Siva, who had earlier directed Ajith in "Veeram". AM Rathnam is producing the actor's film again after "Arrambam" and "Yennai Arindhaal".
Shruti Haasan plays the female lead and Santhanam has been signed to play the role of a comedian. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to score the music.
