Sony Music has bagged the audio rights of Ajith's forthcoming Tamil movie, which is presently called by the name "Thala 56".
"@SonyMusicSouth spokesman confirms that they have purchased audio rights of #Thala56. They r excited about #Thala-@anirudhofficial combo," journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted.
It is reported that Sony Music acquired the audio rights as the film starred Ajith in the lead and has Anirudh Ravichander's music.
Sony Music had earlier acquired the audio rights of Ajith's films including "Yennai Arindhaal", "Mankatha", "Billa 2" and "Arrambam". Some of the hit albums that it procured recently also include "Uttama Villain, "OK Kanmani", "Anjaan" and "Kochadaiiyaan".
The audio of "Thala 56" is expected to be out in October. Currently, Anirudh Ravichander is busy composing music for the film. He has already completed a few tracks.
On the other end, the film unit is busy shooting key portions in Kolkata. The first schedule was completed last month in Chennai.
The film, which is directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by AM Rathnam, has Shruti Haasan in the female lead role as a taxi driver and Lakshmi Menon as Ajith's sister.
"Thala 56" is slated for release during this Diwali.
