Ajith's upcoming film "Thala 55" is yet to be completed, but rumours about the actor's next film have started doing the rounds on the net.
There were speculations that Hansika will play the female lead opposite Ajith in "Thala 56" (Ajith's 56th film), to be directed by Siruthai Siva. But, the director has denied signing Hansika as the heroine for the film and has also stated that nothing has been finalised regarding the film's leading lady.
"Nothing has been finalised yet. We have not yet zeroed in on anyone. These are rumours being spread online. Haniska in not playing the female lead," Siva told Deccan Chronicle.
Besides Hansika, Kajal Aggarwal and Tamannaah Bhatia were also reportedly in the race for the role. It remains to be seen as to who would be lucky to play the leading lady opposite Ajith. As of now, only Ajith and Santhanam are confirmed to be part of "Thala 56." An official announcement regarding the cast and crew of the film is yet to be out.
It will be the second time that Ajith will be teaming up with director Siva after the success of their Pongal 2014 release "Veeram." There are huge expectations for "Thala 56" as "Veeram," a mass entertainer, received tremendous response from fans. "Thala 56" is also expected to be a commercial potboiler, which is Siva's forte.
One needs to wait and watch if the Ajith starrer will be able to impress the audience. The shooting of "Thala 56" is expected to commence soon and it might hit the screens during Diwali 2015.
Meanwhile, Ajith is busy shooting for his upcoming film "Thala 55" directed by Gautham Menon. The film, deemed as an action thriller, will reportedly have Ajith appearing in four different looks. Anushka Shetty and Trisha Krishnan play the female leads, while other cast members include Arun Vijay, Vivek, Thalaivasal Vijay and Rajasimman.
Harris Jayaraj is composing the songs for the film and there will reportedly be five tracks in the album. Recently, "Thala 55" team completed shooting the introduction song of Ajith. "Thala 55 song shoot over. Thanks to @menongautham #thala @arunvijayno1 @Jharrisjayaraj @VigneshhShivan.Thank u god.fans get ready 2 go crazy," choreographer Sathish tweeted.
The shooting of "Thala 55" is nearing completion and the film's post-production work is expected to commence soon. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film's title and the first look, which are yet to be revealed. There is a buzz that "Thala 55" might be named as "Satyadev" (Ajith's character name in the film) or "Aayiram Thottakkal." But, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
