He wrote, "#Thala56 casting update @shrutihaasan is likely 2 b Ajith's heroine in the film." It is said that the talks are completed and only the signing formalities are remaining to be completed. The makers might announce the news anytime soon and the actress herself is expected to reveal it on her Twitter account.

If this happens, Shruti Haasan will be romancing Ajith for the first time. This project will be an important project for her as it is arriving at a crucial stage of her career where she is emerging as a top South actress.
