Ajith, who is currently working in Gautham Menon's "Thala 55," will play a dad's role in the film, according to latest reports.
A source told the Times of India that Ajith will be donning the role of a father to a little girl in "Thala 55." The source has also stated that the film's first look is all set to be revealed soon.
"Yes, Ajith is all set to play a dad to a little girl in the film. However, not much can be revealed about the character as the official look of the film is going to be revealed soon," reported TOI.
The shooting of "Thala 55" (Ajith's 55th film) is progressing well. Actress Trisha, who is playing a pivotal role in the film, has begun shooting her portions.

This will be Trisha's fourth film with Ajith after "Ji", "Kireedam" and "Mankatha." "Thala 55" also has Anushka Shetty as one of the female leads and she has teamed up with Ajith for the first time.
Vivek and Arun Vijay are also part of the film's cast. Recently, Arun confirmed that he is doing the villain role in the film and is certain that the film will be a big success.

"Thala 55," deemed as an action thriller, is produced by A.M. Ratnam. The film's music is composed by Harris Jayaraj and Australian cinematographer Dan Macarthur will take care of the camera work.
The film is expected to hit the screens in November. It will be Ajith's second release in 2014 after "Veeram," which was released for Pongal. The actor has been on a roll with back-to-back successful films like "Arrambam" and "Veeram." It needs to be seen if he will be able to continue his success streak with "Thala 55."
The first time collaboration of Ajith and Gautham Menon has raised the expectations on the big budget entertainer.
