Of late, many Bollywood actors are seen exploring their other hidden talents like singing and are increasingly crooning in their films.
However, actor and singer Shruti Haasan has set a new trend. The actress has lent her voice in upcoming film "Tevar" that has Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha play the lead. This is for the first time that any actor has sung for another in the history of film industry.
The track "Joganiyan" is an intense romantic song, featuring both the lead actors of the film, Kapoor and Sinha. Composed by Sajid-Wajid duo, "Joganiyaan" is penned by Kausar Munir.
Eros has recently uploaded the "Joganiyan" track on YouTube and has been viewed by many.
Apparently, "Joganiyan" is getting Haasan a lot of singing as well as acting offers, reported Mid-Day.
Recently, actors-cum-singers, who had crooned in their own films are Alia Bhatt in "Highway" and "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya" and Shraddha Kapoor in "Ek Villain". Even Salman Khan, who had previously sung the "Hangover" number from his blockbuster "Kick", will reportedly sing in his upcoming film, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" as well.
"Tevar" is an action-romantic film that has the Kapoor lad play the role of Pintoo and Sinha, his lady love Radhika. Set in Uttar Pradesh, the plot of the film revolves around the lovebirds that are being chased by baddie played by Manoj Bajpayee and in the course they land in many adventures.
Presented by Eros International, the film is a remake of Mahesh Babu's Telugu film "Okkadu" (2003).
Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the flick is slated to release on 9 January 2015.
