Telugu film "Temper", which stars Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, has crossed the ultimate $1 million mark in US. With this, the movie has become the first Indian film to achieve this feat in US in the year 2015.
As per box office reports till Saturday, the movie has minted over a total of $1005 K in the country and the division of the collection is as follows:
Premieres - $259 k
First week - $700k
Second weekend Friday - $23K
Saturday - $23 k
Total - $1005 K
For Jr. NTR, this is his second flick that has crossed $1 million mark in the US after "Baadshah". For producer Ganesh Badla, this is his third movie which has crossed this mark after "Gabbar Singh" and "Baadshah".
With the latest numbers, Jr NTR has also joined the club of other Telugu heroes like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan who have two films with million dollar revenue in US box office.
Previously 11 Telugu movies had crossed this mark, which includes "Attarintiki Daredi" , "Aagadu", "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", 1: Nenokkadine", "Race Gurram", "Manam", "Baadshah", " Gabbar Singh", " Eega" and "Dookudu"
"Temper" released in more than 1400 screens across the globe on 13 February. The movie received some overwhelming response and became the highest grosser in the first week of 2015, beating the previous record set by "Gopala Gopala".
"Temper" is directed by Puri Jagganath and Jr NTR plays the role of a ruthless and corrupt cop, who changes after meeting the character played by Kajal Aggarwal. How a change is seen in his attitude towards others and within himself forms the crux of the movie.
