Junior NTR's "Temper" has made decent collection at the worldwide box office in the second weekend. The movie is now fast heading towards the ₹50 crore mark.
In its second week, "Temper" lost out on a large number of screens to new releases like "Bandipotu", "Gayakudu" and a couple of dubbed movies. Despite facing tough competition from new films, the Puri Jagannath-directed action flick maintained its rock-steady pace. The film showed around a 50% drop and raked in approximately ₹2.50 crore at the worldwide box office on its second Friday.
But with new releases getting mixed response from the viewers, "Temper" once again became the first choice for many film-goers and its business improved on its second Saturday and Sunday. The movie has collected approximately ₹8.50 crore at the worldwide box office in its second weekend. Its 10-day global collection now stands at ₹46.50 crore nett.
"Temper" has beaten the second weekend collection record of Ram Charan's "Govindudu Andarivadele", which has collected ₹40 crore nett in the global market in two weeks. It has also beaten the lifetime record of "Gopala Gopala", which is the biggest opener and highest grosser of 2015 with its collection reaching ₹ 45 crore nett.
The Junior NTR-Kajal Aggarwal starrer needs ₹3.50 crore to surpass the ₹50 crore mark. Trade experts in Film Nagar predict that the movie would collect this amount by the end of the second week and become the first Telugu film to achieve this magical number in 2015.
Meanwhile, "Temper" producer Bandla Ganesh Babu is very excited about the success of the movie. The elated producer hosted a grand party at the Park Hyatt in Hyderabad on 22 February. Apart from the cast and crew of the film, Ravi Teja, SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma and other celebrities attended the success party.
