Small screen actress Kalyani (aka Poornitha) is all set to tie the knot with a Mumbai-based doctor.
Kalyani is engaged to Rohit and will be marrying him on 12 December and the actress is pretty excited about her impending wedding.
"I am getting to know more about Rohit only after the engagement. I have got five months to understand my man. For any girl, the time from her engagement to wedding is the most beautiful period and I am currently enjoying that wonderful phase of my life. It was an arranged marriage, but slowly turning out to be a love marriage," Kalyani told The Times of India.
She entered the film industry as a child artiste in 2001-release "Alli Thandha Vaanam", starring Prabhu Deva. Kalyani continued her filmy career playing the child actor roles and did her first major role as the leading lady in "Maranthen Meimaranthen", which released in 2006.
The actress has starred in a few films from other languages including Telugu and Malayalam. She has also been part of Television serials on popular channels. Her latest project on TV has her playing a journalist in "Thayumanavan."
Kalyani is busy completing her current assignments before her wedding. She will be taking a break from the small screen and is intending to return to TV after her marriage.
Interestingly, December seems to be the month of celebrity weddings. Earlier we had reported that Kajal Aggarwal's sister Nisha, who is also an actress, will be tying the knot with a Mumbai-based businessman. Her wedding will be taking place on 28 December in Mumbai.
