Stephen Amell, who portrays Oliver Queen in The CW's popular supernatural drama series "Arrow", will play Casey Jones in upcoming sequel of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (TMNT).
The celeb informed fans about his big screen appearance by posting a fan-made illustration of the character on Twitter with a caption, "Somebody find me a hockey mask!!!" The tweet made many of his admirers excited and they congratulated him for his new role.
The 33-year-old was chosen from half a dozen of actors, who were auditioned over the weekend. His onscreen chemistry with lead female character April O'Neil, played by Megan Fox, was the main reason for selecting him, according to Variety.
Meanwhile, Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio is also expected to be part of "TMNT 2". Although makers are yet to reveal her role in the movie, she was seen filming a sequence with Will Arnett, who portrays Vernon Fenwick last week, stated The Hollywood Reporter.
Other characters speculated to appear in Michael Bay's next film includes Dr. Baxter Stockman, Bebop and Rocksteady. There are also several speculations doing the rounds that movie will lead the Turtles to Dimension X.
The filming of "TMNT 2" will kick off from New York and then move on to Buffalo. The estimated cost of the movie will be around $70 million and it is set to hit big screens on 3 June, 2016.
