Fans of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (TMNT) finally have a handful of details about the upcoming sequel, which includes filming and release date. While the production is scheduled to begin in April, the movie is set to hit big screens on 3 June, 2016.
However, casting and plot details of Michael Bay's next film is still under wraps and speculations on it continue to gain a steady pace. While the movie is expected to bring in a couple of fan favourites, including Dr. Baxter Stockman, Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady, it is also rumoured to lead the Turtles to Dimension X.
Earlier producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form had revealed that they are trying to fit Jones in the storyline, according to Cinema Blend.
They even teased that "TMNT 2" may integrate Dimension X. "There are scripts that have been written for this movie that integrated those worlds into it already," Form told Screen Rant.
But Ninja fans may have to wait a little longer to know more about the casting and plot details of upcoming sequel. As of now, the confirmed cast members include Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick and Tohoru Masamune as Shredder.
In the meantime, a couple of NBA players, including DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick, Austin Rivers and Spencer Hawes, are expected to be a part of the film.
The filming of "TMNT 2" will kick off from New York and then move on to Buffalo. The estimated cost of the movie will be around $70 million, reported New York Daily.
