Stephen Amell is really looking forward to reprising his role as Casey Jones in potential sequels of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2." The "Arrow" star recently spoke about playing the fan-favourite character, saying Casey is a lot more like him in real life than Oliver Queen.
"There're so many places that we can take this character. I feel like we did a nice job of introducing him and giving people glimpses of Casey Jones, but there's way more to do," Amell told ComicBook.com. The actor said he's "1000 percent" ready to play more of Casey Jones, and in fact has signed on for several films when he signed his contract.
"When you sign up for movies like this nowadays, you sign up for like nine movies. And if my wife and I have a son next, Paramount gets the kid — you pretty much sign away everything," the actor joked.
Comparing the role to his popular TV show character, Amell said: "Oliver Queen is actually very far from who I am, whereas Casey Jones, on the other hand, I feel a kinship to Casey Jones. I feel like there's a lot of me in him."
The actor also said there's actually more of Casey in deleted scenes that will appear on the Blu-ray and DVD, including a scene that takes place after the final scene in the film.
Amell stars as Casey Jones alongside Megan Fox, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Will Arnett, Stephen Farrelly, Gary Anthony Williams and Tyler Perry, among others, in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows," which opens in theatres on June 3, 2016.
