Teen Wolf released a trailer for Season 6, which is the final season, and it is a treat for Stiles and Lydia fans.
Season 6 will see the gang trying to save Dylan O'Brien's character after he gets taken by the Ghost Riders. The pack has to prevent Stiles' memory from being wiped off from existence and the trailer show Stiles asking Lydia to remember that he loves her. "You're going to forget me," Stiles tells Lydia. "Find some way to remember me."
Showrunner Jeff Davis had earlier said that the lingering feelings Stiles have for Lydia will be explored in the final season. "They're not only lingering feelings — they become a focus, a focal point of the next season," he told TVLine shortly after the Season 5 finale. "Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you'll have to tune in to see."
This is indeed bad news for Malia, who was romantically involved with Stiles in the previous season.
"They have something special," Davis told Entertainment Weekly regarding his decision to bring Stiles and Lydia together. "We decided that this is the place to show that they've gone from a simple crush to friends to something deeper."
The first episode of Season 6 will see the Ghost Riders targeting Stiles and to escape them he has to run. Lydia refuses to leave his side, but he gets taken anyway and his friends start forgetting about him. However, the gang realises something is off in episode 2 when each of them starts feeling a void in their life. "They each realize that something huge is missing in their life and they come to this eventual conclusion it might be a person," Davis told EW..
Teen Wolf returns Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
