When Season 6 of "Teen Wolf" returns, Scott will probably once again be on the market for a girlfriend, and if recent rumours doing the rounds turn out to be true, then Scott and Malia could be an item.
Scott hasn't been with a major love interest ever since Allison died. Although Kira did try to fill the hole left behind by Allison's death, she too decided to move on. Arden Cho, who essayed Kira, revealed in April that she won't be coming back for Season 6.
"I just want to say I love Kira Yukimura so much," she said in a YouTube video announcing her departure. "I love the Yukimura family. I loved my experience on Teen Wolf. I love the cast and crew, it's been an amazing three-and-a-half years. It's gone by so fast, but unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira's storyline and she won't be coming back for Season 6."
There hasn't been any official announcement on Scott and Malia becoming an item, but showrunner Jeff Davis had earlier hinted at Stiles and Lydia exploring a romantic relationship.
In the previous season, it was revealed that Stiles and Lydia still have some unresolved feelings for each other and according to Davis, this will be further explored in the upcoming season.
"They're not only lingering feelings — they become a focus, a focal point of the next season," Davis told TVLine. "Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you'll have to tune in to see."
Season 6 of MTV's "Teen Wolf" will see some of the older characters graduating and making a fresh start in life. Season 6 is expected to premiere sometime in November. Addressing rumours that Dylan O'Brien, who was injured on the sets of "The Maze Runner," will not return for the upcoming season of the teen drama, Davis noted that there were no plans to replace the actor.
"No, we aren't replacing Stiles," Davis told Creative132. "Dylan O'Brien will be back to film soon. he can't do any stunts and we're talking with Wes Ball, the producer of The Maze Runner, we hope to get him back on Teen Wolf to film, while being injured, but the thing is, he wants to film, he's in perfect condition. But he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts."
