It's been a few weeks since "Teen Mom 2" star Leah messer lost full custody of her twin daugters, Ali and Aleaah, 5, to ex-husband Corey and Miranda Simms. But life seems to have been miserable for the West Virginia native. According to a new report, Leah is on a downward spiral and is perhaps taking prescription pain killers again.
During 'Teen Mom 2" Season 6, Leah had a 30 day stint at rehab and underwent therapy for anxiety and depression. After her return, the mother of three appeared on the show and seemed emotionally strong even when she was entangled in a heated argument with Corey. However, she lost primary custody of her kids, and is allowed to see them only on weekends.
According to reports, Leah is still struggling with the loss. She recently showed up dressed down for her kids' Halloween party at school. One fan commented, "She looked nice at the reunion... Wtf happened." OK! Magazine claimed that Leah is perhaps "back to her old ways."
Leah, who admitted to taking Hydrocodone, Percocet and Tylenol 3 in the past, has friends worried about her. "She's in a really bad place right now," a source said.
Earlier, news reports suggested that Leah's youngest daughter, Addie, 2, wandered away from home while her mother was distracted. However, it remains to be seen if Leah's second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, might file for full custody.
"He doesn't think Addie is safe with Leah. Especially now that she's depressed over losing the twins," an insider said.
In a recent interview to US Weekly, Leah, 23, spoke about her forced alienation from her daughters and ex-husband. The personal trainer said that she isn't allowed to call Corey and speak to her kids in Miranda's absence.
But it does seem like Leah is strong and fighting a battle that's personal and isolating. She recently posted a photo on her Twitter page, which read, "People only bring up your past when they are intimidated by your present."
