Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited TV show Ted Talks India Nayi Soch was launched on Sunday, December 10 on Star Plus.
The first episode saw five speakers from various fields taking the stage and sharing ideas on different subjects. From the settlements in slum areas, pollution to building a forest in the backyard of every house — a lot was discussed on this episode.
What! SRK is being paid a whopping amount for his new show TED Talks: Nayi Soch?
One of the speakers from the episode, Dr Gautam Bhan, talked about human settlements in big cities, while Bengaluru-based car-maker Shubhendu Sharma revealed how he aims to reinfuse the world with greenery.
Manju Kapur, the writer of the popular novel Custody, on which the TV show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is based, spoke about the financial and social differences between the sexes.
Scientist and bio-engineer Manu Prakash spoke about how cheap, man-made medical treatments can replace some of the most expensive medical devices.
Another speaker, Anirudh Sharma, quit his job in a foreign firm to work on a project in India that makes ink from the pollution particles.
Overall, the show is worth a watch and is definitely inspiring, but the fact that a lot of information was shared by five speakers in one single episode left very little time for the audience to process the information.
Another negative point of the show is that it targets only a certain section of the viewers, and SRK's minimal screen time makes it even more difficult to make people keep on watching.
A few entertainment segments can be added besides the information shared on the platform. Also, increasing Shah Rukh's screen time could help his fans get more involved with the show.

Meanwhile, check out some of the negative comments on the first episode of Ted Talks India Nayi Soch.
Anshuman Nath: @StarPlus why does everyone on TED talks show, including @iamsrk seem to be talking robotically, rather than naturally ? Not sure if anyone else felt this way, but the way everyone spoke somehow sounds automated. What could be the reason ? #TEDTalksIndiaNayiSochِ
Probik Paul: #TEDTalksIndiaNayiSoch it was an amazing first episode great ideas and great orators shared the platform. Only one tweek that needs Mr @sharuk khan should stop bosteing about himself and probe more about the ideas and thoughts shared on this platform.
Aashish Mallick: TED talks is not for all the people..its for those who want to achieve something in life..so its natural, people wants to see fights 13 times more than motivational or inspirational show #bb11 #TEDTalksIndiaNayiSoch
However, there were many who loved the show.
