The teaser of much-awaited "Ai", starring Vikram and Amy Jackson, has been leaked online.
A few days ago, "Ai" producer Aascar Ravichandran had shown the teaser to select audience and those who watched the 50-second video had raved about its grandeur on social media sites. "Ai" team had planned to officially release the teaser during the film's grand audio launch on 15 September in Chennai.
But, much to their disappointment, the teaser was leaked online a couple of days ago. Screenshots from the video have also been doing the rounds on social networking sites. Though the video is of poor quality, it shows the different looks of Vikram.
Ravichandran has claimed that a person named Vasan has leaked the teaser. He is planning to take legal action against him, reported the The Times of India.
"We have tracked down the person who has released the teaser illegally online, and we are taking legal action. The worst part is that Vasan, the person who has leaked the teaser, has also put up his profile online, with a line saying, 'I have leaked the teaser, what can you do about it?' After inquiries, we got to know that somebody had broken into our office in the night and had copied the teaser," Ravichandran told the daily.
Although the teaser has been leaked, the producer has asserted that there will not be any modifications to the video. As planned, the official teaser will be released along with the film's audio.
The audio launch, to be held on 15 September, will be a grand affair with the presence of several film celebrities from the industry. Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the chief guest for the music release function to be held in Chennai, while Jackie Chan is expected to attend the audio launch of the film's Telugu version on 20 September. Several Tamil film celebrities are also expected to attend the grand event. Oscar winner A.R. Rahman has composed the songs for "Ai."
The film, directed by Shankar, is touted to be a romantic thriller flick. The film has been in the making for more than two years. Most of its shooting portions have been completed with only a song remaining to be shot. The film's post-production work is going on in full swing.
The Vikram starrer is slated to hit screens on Diwali in October.
