Rohit Sharma was unable to attend the event as the 31-year-old has flown back to India to be with his wife as she gave birth to a baby girl.
The two teams are currently in the middle of an intense Test series wherein after three matches, India leads the hosts 2-1. If India manages to avoid defeat in the final Test match at Sydney, the visitors will win a Test series Down Under for the first time in their history.
Australia, on their part, will be keen to avoid a series defeat having already lost the Border-Gavaskar trophy. India, having won the last series between the two sides, will walk away with the trophy regardless of the result of the fourth Test beginning on January 3.
