Tata's upcoming compact SUV, the Nexon, has already become a regular fixture in the auto world with the series of spy shots and videos. Now to add to its long list of spy shots, a fresh image of the Nexon has emerged online, indicating that work on the Nexon is progressing rapidly in the country.
Tata Nexon was caught on camera countless times already and the latest one comes from IndianAutosblog. Like before, the test mule in the latest image is also hiding under thick camouflage, thus not giving any hint at the key details of the model. However, repeated sightings of the model tell us that the Nexon in well on its way to the market.
Tata is expected to launch the new Nexon in India in the second half of 2017. Built on the heavily-modified Tata X1 platform of the Indica, the Nexon will rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300 when launched in India. It is expected to get a price tag in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh and is likely to get a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Tata had showcased the Nexon compact SUV at the Auto Expo 2016 and it has been on test on the Indian roads since then. It is expected to feature chrome Humanity Line on the upper grille featuring stylish projector headlamps with daytime running lamps (DRLs). At the rear, Nexon is expected to get LED tail lamps with chrome accents, arising beltline and a floating roof uplifts the rear of the car.
