As Tata Motors continues to test its upcoming Nexon compact SUV on the Indian roads, a fresh batch of spy shots has emerged online, this time showing U-shaped tail lamp pattern of the model.
Tata has been putting its Nexon SUV through testing for quite a while now. The compact SUV, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, is expected to be launched in the country in 2017. The Nexon has already made countless appearances on the web through spy shots, and the latest one adding to the long list of spy shots comes from IndianAutos Blog. Like before, the Nexon in the latest spy shots too is seen in its camouflaged form. However, it does give a glance at the tail lamps of the model with U-shaped LED strips.
Built on the heavily-modified Tata X1 platform of the Indica, the Nexon is likely to get a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. It features chrome Humanity Line on the upper grille featuring stylish projector headlamps with daytime running lamps (DRLs). At the rear, Nexon is expected to get LED tail lamps with chrome accents, arising beltline and a floating roof uplifts the rear of the car.
Although the Nexon was expected to come to the market during this festive season, Tata delayed the launch as the company is revisiting the strategy of its upcoming models, including the Nexon and the Kite 5. The Nexon SUV is expected to get a price tag in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh and will rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300 when launched in India.
