Tata continues testing its upcoming compact SUV Nexon on Indian roads, and a new prototype of the model has been snapped once again, adding to the long list of its spy shots ahead of the official unveiling.
Tata Nexon, which is also known as Osprey, will join the company's pavilion at the 13th edition of Auto Expo in Greater Noida, along with 20 more other products. Caught on camera by Indian Autos Blog, the fresh batch images of Tata Nexon give a better look at the front and rear end of the model. Like before, although the test mule of Nexon is still hiding under significant amount of camouflage, the images give a fair idea of the overall body proportion of the model. The previous images of Nexon showed the cabin with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, horizontally-positioned AC vents and a Tata Bolt-like instrument cluster.
Built on the heavily modified Tata X1 platform of the Indica, Nexon is expected to include a 1.2-litre petrol Revotron engine and a 1.3-litre Multijet engine, which also do duty in the Bolt and Zest. There have also been rumours that Tata may bring a new 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Revotron family, which is likely to develop a power of 100bhp in the Nexon.
To be pitted against Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300, Tata Nexon will be priced in the range of Rs 6-10 lakh.
