Tata's upcoming compact SUV Nexon has been spied undergoing testing once again in the country, adding to the long list of spy shots of the model before its actual launch in the country.
Tata Nexon, the compact SUV based on the Nexon concept which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2014 is expected to make its India debut in late 2016. The prototypes of the Nexon undergoing testing in different parts of the country were caught on camera before too. As before, the latest spy shots which came from MotorBeam also show the test mule in its completely disguised form, hiding key details of the model.
Tata Nexon, which will be pitted against Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 in India when launched next year, is expected be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, which will happen in February. Tata Nexon is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 6-10 lakh in the domestic market.
The engine line-up of Nexon is expected to include 1.2-litre petrol Revotron engine and the 1.3-litre Multijet engine that also does duty in Bolt and Zest. There have also been rumours about a new 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Revotron family that is likely to develop a power of 100bhp.
Inside the cabin, Nexon is expected to share many features with the company's other offerings in India.
