It appears like there is no end to the spy shots of the upcoming compact SUV Nexon from the house of Tata Motors. The Nexon, which is expected to make its entry into the market in early 2017, continues to undertake test runs in different terrains of the country.
Auto enthusiasts in the country have seen the Nexon in its fully revealed and the camouflaged form. The interesting bit is that the Nexon was seen testing against Ford EcoSport and Hyundai Creta, suggesting that Tata is perfecting the SUV in all possible ways.
Tata Nexon was part of the company's pavilion at the Auto Expo 2016 and auto lovers have been waiting for this SUV since then. The Nexon is expected to get chrome Humanity Line on the upper grille featuring stylish projector headlamps with daytime running lamps (DRLs) and the rear is expected to get LED tail lamps with chrome accents, a rising beltline and a floating roof uplifts the rear of the car.
Under the hood, the compact SUV is likely to get a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The transmission in the model is likely to be taken care of by six-speed AMT box. As for features, Nexon is expected to get keyless entry, push start/stop button, reverse-parking camera and a 6.5-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Expected to be pitted against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300, the Nexon is built on the heavily modified Tata X1 platform of the Indica.
