It looks like there is no end to the spy shots of the upcoming compact SUV of Tata, the Nexon. Tata has been putting Nexon through rigorous testing in different terrains in the country since its appearance at the Auto Expo 2016. The SUV has also been caught on camera countless times. Adding to the list of this spy shots, here comes yet another set of images of the Nexon compact SUV.
Nexon is seen in its completely camouflaged avatar in the latest images shared on AutoCar India forum. But the interesting bit is that it does give a sneak peak at the orange body shade of the model, hinting that the Sunburst Orange. It was earlier seen in the Tiago palette, and hints that it could also be offered with Nexon.
For the uninitiated, the Nexon compact SUV is expected to come to the market in 2017 and will be pitted against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300. Nexon, which is built on the heavily-modified Tata X 1 platform of Indica, flaunts the chrome Humanity Line on the upper grille featuring stylish projector headlamps with daytime running lamps (DRLs). At the rear, Nexon is expected to get LED tail-lamps with chrome accents, arising beltline and a floating roof uplifts the rear of the car.
As for features, expect Nexon to include features such as keyless entry, push start/top button, reverse-parking camera and a 6.5-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Under the hood, the compact SUV is likely to get a 1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Although Nexon was expected to come this year, the launch has been pushed back to 2017 as Tata is reportedly revisiting the marketing strategy of its upcoming models.
