Tata Motors has been testing its upcoming compact SUV, Nexon, since its concept unveil at Auto Expo 2016. Now, a latest camouflaged test mule of Nexon near-to-production avatar has been snapped in Maharashtra.
The spy image taken by Carwale shows the rear section of Nexon in which the metal section has been draped in silver shade. The crease at the rear, in the concept, has been retained in the spied version as well. The face of the SUV will sport "Humanity Line" in line with the new models of Tata Motors.
Being an off-road vehicle, Nexon will ride on 16-inch alloy wheels and will be offered with a ground clearance of 200mm.
The interior will flaunt a 6.5-inch touch-screen entertainment system with an eight-speaker audio, steering-mounted control, a drive-mode selector, automatic climate control and a multi-information display. The compact SUV will also flaunt keyless entry with push button start, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, projector headlights and LED tail lamps.
Under the hood, the compact SUV of Tata is likely to get a1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The transmission is likely to be taken care of by six-speed AMT box. Tata Nexon will go up against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the launch is expected in early 2017.
