Tata Motors is reportedly set to introduce the new variant of its least expensive car, Nano, in India next month.
If reports of NDTV Auto are to be believed, Tata Nano Twist Active AMT will make its market entry in early May. However, the report did not divulge the exact launch details of the new updated Nano model.
Tata, which is in its attempt to give a new life to Nano models in India, has been testing its Nano Twist Active in the country for quite some time now. Caught on camera numerous times with the latest one right outside Sanand plant in Gujarat, the production of the model is reportedly in full swing at the company's plant.
Tata Nano Twist Active has been in the news since its first appearance at Delhi Auto Expo 2014. From what we have seen so far, the new Nano avatar is likely to get honeycomb grille, smoked headlamps and openabale boot. In addition to this, the Nano Twist Active is also likely to come in new body colours.
Inside the cabin, Nano Twist Active is speculated to get minor upgrades like three-spoke steering wheel and new upholstery. Under the hood, Nano Twist Active is expected to get new twin-cylinder petrol engine that can generate 38PS power and 51Nm peak torque. The model will also be getting Magneti Marelli-sourced F-Tronic automated manual transmission and is expected to fall in the price range of ₹2.5 lakh to ₹2.65 lakh.
