Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of its flagship SUV crossover, Hexa, which is expected in the first week of November. Ahead of the launch, the vehicle has been caught testing in the final stages under camouflage.
The pictures posted by Carwale shows front, side and rear profiles of the SUV. Hexa was revealed at Auto Expo 2016 and during its TVS shoot at Leh recently.
The copiously reworked Aria in the Hexa form comes with a honeycomb grille with chrome touches at front. It flaunts projector head-lamps, LED daytime running lights, integrated spoiler and roof rails. Adding in off-roader looks are the black cladding that runs around the body, while the top-spec variants will come with massive 19-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels.
Hexa will boast of spacious interior in its class. It will feature dual-tone dashboard and leather-covered captain seats. Premium features such as LED illumination, mood lighting and high-end Harman Kardon Infotainment system will be standard in top-spec variants.
Hexa will draw power from a 2.2-litre four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which is tuned to generate 154bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,700 to 2,700rpm mated to the choice of either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission in question is expected to be an AMT unit. Hexa will also feature four driving modes — Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road.
Starting price of Hexa is expected from Rs 12 lakh and the SUV will go up against Toyota Innova Crysta, Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner in India.
