The heavily camouflaged prototype of Hexa SUV crossover was spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway by the spy photographers of PowerDrift. As we already know, it was at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 that Tata showcased its Hexa SUV, which is based on Tata Aria. It seems the test mule of the model has a lot of similarities with the concept model.
Judging by the images, Tata Hexa seems to have got flat bonnet with honeycomb grille at the front. Tata Hexa SUV is likely to boast wider air-dam and side mirrors with turn mirrors and other speculated features including body cladding, skid plates and LED tail lamps.
In terms of dimensions, Tata Hexa measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm width, and 1,780 mm height. Seated on a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, Tata Hexa is expected to pack 2.2-liter four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which is re-tuned to generate 154bhp of power and 400Nm of torque either with 6-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission.
Hexa is likely to be a six-seater SUV with captain seats. Inside the cabin, the model is expected to get leather seats, LED illumination and 6 airbags, including side and curtain. Tata Hexa is rumoured to make its India entry by the end of this year.
