If emerging reports on the web hold true, the Tata Motors crossover SUV Hexa is likely to make its India debut later this year.
The news came from folks at OevrDrive, who claim it has been confirmed by Mayank Pareek, president of Tata Motors Passenger Car Vehicle.
The SUV crossover Hexa, which made its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show 2015, is based on Tata Aria and measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm width, and 1,780 mm height. Seated on a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, Tata Hexa is rumoured to come with 6-speed automatic transmission.
Under the hood, the new Hexa from the house of Tatas will get 2.2-liter four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which is re-tuned to generate 154bhp of power and 400Nm of torque.
As for styling and features, the Tata Hexa SUV is likely to boast honeycomb grille and wider air-dam with new rear and front bumpers. If Hexa gets six-speed gear box ,it will become the company's first model to get six-speed manual and automatic transmission, as models like Aria and Safari Storme come equipped with a 5-speed manual.
Hexa is likely to be a six-seater SUV with captain seats. Inside the cabin, the model is expected to get leather seats, LED illumination and 6 airbags, including side and curtain.
