A fresh batch spy shots of the upcoming MPV, the Hexa, has emerged online, this time showing the model in its completely revealed avatar. The auto lovers in India have seen the Hexa in its undisguised avatar before too. While those images came straight from the auto show floors, the latest is probably for the first time, Hexa has been snapped in its completely undisguised form on road.
Caught on camera by Team BHP, the Hexa spy image shows the MPV in white body shade. The image also shows a black-coloured Hexa, which was seen at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. Tata is expected to launch the new avatar of Aria –the Hexa—during the festive season this year.
Under the hood, the Hexa comes with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which is tuned to generate 154bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,700 to 2,700rpm. The engine comes mated to either a 6-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual transmission. There have been reports that Tata could be waiting to have more clarity on the ban on diesel vehicle, which is currently being implemented in Delhi and NCR. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
The Hexa will be pitted against Toyota Innova Crysta and Renault Lodgy in India and is expected to be priced between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 15 lakh. It measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
It embodies Tata's new Impact design philosophy and is expected to come packed with safety features such as six airbags, and anti-lock brake system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD).
