The work on Tata Hexa seems to be going on at a rapid pace as the company continues testing the model on Indian roads. The Hexa MPV has been caught on camera once again, this time in Bangalore. The Hexa is expected to go on sale in India June this year.
Caught on camera by Indian AutosBlog, in the latest spy shot, the Hexa was seen testing with considerable amount of camouflage. The auto enthusiasts in the country have seen Hexa numerous times already in both its revealed and camouflaged avatar.
The MPV, which was part of Tata's pavilion at the Auto Expo 2016, will take on the likes of Toyota Innova. Most of the details of the Hexa are already out and what is actually left to see its price tag. Expected to be priced between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 15 lakh, Tata Hexa will come packed with safety features such as come with six airbags, anti-lock brake system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD).
Tata Hexa, the facelifted avatar of the Aria, flaunts dual hexagonal-patterned front grille with chrome accents on the front and features smoked projector headlamps, fog lamps and daytime running lamps. The Hexa comes with wraparound LED tail lamps, door claddings, dual-coloured wheel arches, integrated spoiler and roof rails.
In terms of dimensions, the Hexa measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Powering the MPV is a 2.2 litre four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which is tuned to generate 154bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,700 to 2,700rp. The engine comes mated to either with 6-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission.
The features list of the Hexa includes 5-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment system from Harman, compatible with USB, iPod, SD card, Aux and Bluetooth audio.
