A lot has already been talked about the upcoming MPV -- the Hexa -- from Tata Motors' stable lately: its features, specifications and interiors. But what may have been actually left to see is its price.
Intriguingly, emerging reports on internet seem to have an answer for that too. While Tata Hexa is still a couple of weeks away from its possible launch in the country, a report of CarBlog says that the upcoming Hexa MPV will see a price tag starting at Rs 10.99 lakh. The top-end model of the Hexa is likely to get a price tag of Rs 13.10 lakh.
The Hexa, what is known as the copiously tweaked version of the Aria, is expected to be launched in all-wheel drive (4WD) and two-wheel drive (2WD) versions in India. Tata has been putting the Hexa through rigorous testing on the Indian roads and from what we have seen so far, the MPV has taken a major detour from the styling of the Aria.
From a visual stand point, the Hexa is expected to flaunt projector head-lamps, LED daytime running lights, integrated spoiler and roof rails. Adding to the style could also be the dual-coloured wheel arches and dual hexagonal-patterned front grille along with the black cladding.
Coming to the interior, expect the Hexa to get dual-tone dashboard and leather-covered captain seats, high-end Harman Kardon Infotainment system with 5.0 inch touchscreen display. It measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
Under the skin, the new flagship model of Tata is expected to get a 2.2-litre engine that is tuned to generate 154bhp of power at 4,000rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,700 to 2,700rpm. The transmission is expected be taken care of by either a six-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual transmission. There have also been reports of the Hexa getting a lower displacement 1.99 litre engine under the hood. However, Tata is likely to bring the 1.99 litre engine later.
