Finally, Tata Motors' new GenX Nano is here. The company pulled the wraps off its much-awaited new Nano model on 19 May with a price tag starting at ₹1.99lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Powered by 624 cc twin-cylinder engine, which can churn out a power of 38bhp and 51Nm of peak torque, the new Nano GenX comes mated to either a 5-speed AMT gearbox or a 4-speed manual transmission. The car is offered in five variants ― two AMT and three manual variants ― and is available in seven body colours including the new Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue and Damson Purple.
Nano GenX come with the features like openable hatch, body-coloured bumpers, smoked headlamps. Inside the cabin, new Nano AMT gets Black and Silver seat upholstery, three-spoke Tata signature steering wheel and AmphiStream Music System with CD, MP3 and AUX-in connectivity. The Nano GenX also houses four speakers for surround sound and Rear Parcel Shelf with Integrated Speakers.
The new avatar comes with in-built Creep feature, which will help the vehicle to move at a slow pace when in traffic, as the pressure is eased off the brake pedal, without pressing the accelerator.
Booking for Nano GenX are under way in the country with the deliveries expected to commence immediately.
