We have already given you enough stories about Tata's upcoming Bolt hatchback and now a prototype of Bolt has been spied testing on Pune-Bangalore highway.
The latest spy shots of Bolt come from the folks at Rushlane. Although the new images do not tell us anything new, the repeated sightings of the car hint that the launch is imminent.
Tata Bolt, the car which we first saw earlier this year at the Delhi Auto Expo is expected to make its official entry into our market in earlier 2015. The car borrows the styling cues from the company's new sedan Zest and will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options.
While the petrol variant of the car will pack 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged engine, which is tuned to generate 84 bhp at 5,000 rpm and a torque of 140 Nm of 1,750-3,500 rpm, the diesel Bolt will get 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel motor that can generate 73 bhp and peak torque of 190 Nm. Both the engines will come coupled to a five-speed manual transmission.
We also hear that Tata is planning to offer AMT as an option for Bolt petrol models.
Talking about the features, Tata Bolt is likely to come loaded with features like audio system with MapMyIndia GPS, touchscreen and voice commands, center console, infotainment system, electric power steering, projector headlamps and LED tail lamps.
In India ,the car will rival Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10, i20, Honda Jazz, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo and is expected to get a price tag around ₹7 lakh.
