Tata Motors upcoming Bolt hatchback has been spied testing in the country, this time giving us a peek look into the interiors of the car.
Bolt hatchback, Tata's rival to Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10, i20, Honda Jazz, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo was first seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 and since then the car has been linked to different launch dates in the country.
The latest rumour suggests that the auto lovers in the country will see the Bolt hatchback only in 2015. However, Tata continues testing its Bolt in the country and the latest spy shots are by The Automotive India members, who caught the car on test in Chennai.
In the images, Bolt is seen partially camouflaged and we can also see the interior of the car, which is in Orange colour.
Underpinning X1 platform, Tata Bolt will get power from 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged engine and 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel motor. While the petrol Bolt is tuned to generate 84 bhp at 5,000 rpm and a torque of 140 Nm of 1,750-3,500 rpm, the diesel model of the car will generate 73 bhp and peak torque of 190 Nm.
The Bolt is expected to include features like an audio system with MapMyIndia GPS, touchscreen and voice commands, center console, infotainment system, electric power steering in place of Tata Indica Vista's hydraulic unit, projector headlamps and LED tail lamps.
As of now, we do not know Bolt's pricing details in India, but from what we heard so far, Tata is likely to price its new hatchback in the ₹7 lakh range.
Meanwhile, Tata's recently launched Zest sedan is witnessing a great demand in the country. The car has already received more than 10,000 bookings and still counting.
Under the hood, petrol model Zest packs turbocharged 1.2-liter Revotron engine, which is tuned to produce a 90 PS (88.73 bhp) of power and 140 Nm of torque and the diesel Zest model comes with 1.3-litre Multijet motor, that is capable of churning out 88.8 bhp of power and 200Nm torque.
