Tata Motors new hatchback Bolt has been spied testing again ahead of its speculated debut in September 2014.
Tata which is believed to be putting the finishing touches on its all new hatchback has been testing its new cars Bolt and Zest for quite a while now. The latest spy pictures of the Bolt hatchback test mule was caught on camera by a reader of RushLane in Pune. In the new spy images, the Bolt is seen with lit rear LED.
A recent report indicated that Tata which is facing fierce competition in the domestic market will first launch the new sedan Zest in August and will be followed by the hatchback Bolt.
Bolt, a car which made its first appearance at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 along with the company's upcoming sedan Zest will hit Indian market in both diesel and engine options. While the petrol model will come with a 1.2 liter Revotron turbo petrol engine, which can churn out a power of 84 bhp at 5000 rpm and a torque of 140 Nm of 1750-3500 rpm, the diesel version will pack a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel motor.
From the visual point, the new Bolt is expected to come with attractive features and style. The speculated features of the car include audio system with MapMyIndia GPS, touchscreen and voice commands, center console, infotainment system, electric power steering in place of Tata Indica Vista's hydraulic unit, projector headlamps and LED tail lamps.
With the increasing competition in the sedan segment, Tata has been working to create a new vehicle in the market. Now the dream is coming true with the launch of its new Zest. Talking of the Zest, it is India's first sedan with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) technologies and will be getting the power from 1.2 litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged Revotron engine and 1.3 litre Quadrajet motor. While the petrol model can churn out a power of 85 PS at 5000 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm 1750-3000 rpm, the diesel 1.3 litre Quadrajet motor can generate 90 PS power at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1750-3000 rpm. The car is likely to accommodate features like new front grille, projector headlamps, steering wheel and dashboard.
